Two World cups, Two Olympic Games, Two Royal Funerals.

As a broadcaster, Andrew Cheal has reported and commentated on major international events, including two Olympic Games, (Sydney and Athens) two World Cups, (France ’98 and Japan/Korea 2002) and the State funerals of Princess Diana and the Queen Mother.

For three years he was the lead commentator for LBC Radio’s Sony Award winning University Boat race programme – the first time the event was broadcast outside the BBC.

Andrew works regularly as a freelance for radio and tv in the UK and Ireland. Client list includes BFBS Radio, (British Forces Broadcasting) where he regularly works as a News producer and sports presenter, Setanta (Dubin) tv, Sky News Radio, BBC.

He also works producing corporate dvd presentations for clients including Friends Provident.

His experience also includes spells as Senior Press Officer at the Confederation of British Industry, Civil Aviation Authority and Department of Employment, bringing him into regular contact with senior political figures including Government Ministers.
