Craig Austin is a Central London-based broadcaster, writer, and producer/director and has worked for most of the major channels in the UK and Ireland. He started his career in radio and moved into television, dipping his toes in ink along the way. His diverse CV ranges from having presented his own radio shows in his native Scotland; to hosting News, Entertainment and Children’s programmes for regional ITV. From writing a syndicated regional newspaper column; to innumerable TV and radio voiceovers. And from corporate presenting and training; to producing, and being a consultant for TV channels’ ‘On-Air’ output.
As an Entertainment presenter, Craig has interviewed many actors and directors: from Sir Roger Moore to Sir Anthony Hopkins; from Keira Knightley to Daniel Radcliffe; and from Hugh Jackman to Robert Duvall. He’s also presented and directed a number of programmes about the making of movies and TV series; and has filmed in locations such as Monte Carlo, Berlin and Vancouver.
Craig has been developing his skills as a screenwriter and has completed two film scripts, with a third underway. He has also written a number of potential TV drama projects; and is currently writing his first novel, “Shadows Before Dawn”, which is based on his first screenplay.
In his spare time Craig is a volunteer Police Officer with the Metropolitan Police Service in Camden Borough and with the London-wide Clubs & Vice Unit.
